Respect conservative values, vote for Herndon

| April 21, 2024 1:00 AM

I just wish Jim Woodward would learn to tell the truth. Let’s start with his political philosophy. He claims to be a Republican, and everybody knows he's not. I doubt he has even read the 19 planks of the current Idaho Republican platform. He meets with Democrat groups … openly … but isn’t man enough to appear at candidate forums for the very party he claims to represent.

Woodward is running a series of fabrications, half-truths and outright lies that I’ve seen on Facebook. You could find this entire series in the fiction section of a library. So, let’s look at an overall comparison between Scott Herndon and Woodward. Who’s the real conservative that represents North Idaho values?

First, the freedom score. Herndon 94.9%. Woodward 39.4%.

Next, the spending score. Herndon 83.6%. Woodward 5.5%.

Finally, the education score. Herndon 100%. Woodward 20%.

Ask yourself about the character of the person representing you as Idaho state senator. Ask yourself why Woodward can’t run on his record with the party he claims to represent. If you want to respect yourself, you’ll cast your vote for Scott Herndon on May 21.
